#Reverb10 Day 7: Community

This is my real-world "community" - family and close friends.

December 7 – Community Prompt: Community. Where have you discovered community, online or otherwise, in 2010? What community would you like to join, create or more deeply connect with in 2011? (Author: Cali Harris)

I have been amazed of the online blog community. Even though I'm new to the scene, I feel very welcomed and embraced. I love the respect bloggers give to each other. I've never considered myself a writer, and honestly didn't see my blog as a place to write when I first started it... but now 3 months later, I've really grown to love writing. I think of things to put on paper (or, whatever the computer version of paper is) constantly. Even more than that, I actually want to share my writing with people. I love the pride that comes when someone compliments something I've created.

Moving into 2011, I hope blogging helps motivate me to continue finding things I enjoy doing. I want to scrapbook more. I want to take more pictures. I want to start my own company... 4 months ago, I just wanted to get home by 5 to watch last night's TV shows. I'm looking forward to moving into a tighter group of bloggers, or a group of writers... or just a group of individuals pursuing something better.

  1. I agree with you. I love the current blogging community. The blogosphere about 5 years ago used to be very cliquey and judgmental. I witnessed a lot of drama back then. Now everyone's just relaxed and very much accepting. Just the way it should be. :)

  2. I feel JUST the same way, lady. I started my blog just a short year ago...but the community I've immersed myself in on the social web feels longstanding.

Thanks so much for sharing & participating in #reverb10!
