First, the protests in Cairo and the rest of Egypt. Here's the Wikipedia page explaining the government history, and the use of "Emergency Law" since 1967. Here's a timeline from CNN, tracking hour-by-hour happenings of the sad event. Whether or not you know all the details, the history, of the laws... you need to know that this went on... is still going on... in parts of the world. You need to know to what social injustices are going on in countries (like Egypt) which we consider mostly "modern". When we all wake up tomorrow, or the next day, it will be interesting to see what the country has become (more government control or more freedom?)

Second, today was the 25th Anniversary of the Challenger disaster. Here are two wonderful blog accounts of what went on that day... Dell Billings and Modernish Father.
I know that doesn't really leave my blog on a happy note for the weekend, but sometimes life isn't happy. Sometimes it's sad. So, go out, love each other, be thankful for what you have, and have a wonderful weekend!
