5 o'clock happy hour: January 3, 2011

After a little happy hour inconsistency, I'm back in a routine, and ready to keep you (and myself!) up to date with everything going on in the world... I hope you all had a wonderful time bringing in 2011!

• Here's a weird story: 4000 blackbirds were found dead after the fell out of the sky around 10 p.m. on Friday. Kinda disturbing!
• Also weird: it's 2011.... I'm still not used to it. And you know what's gonna steal the show this year? Apparently tablets.... like this one, debuted at the Electronics Show in Las Vegas:

• This was a new development over the weekend: a new test development shows that cancer can be detected in a single blood cell. Not sure what that means in a practical sense just yet, but it's kinda cool.
• And top of the entertainment world today: A breakup and a budding teen romance.
