Today's letter is A.
I am an Aggie. I graduated from Texas A&M University in the amazing little town of College Station, TX. The "A&M" stand for "agricultural and mechanical" from the original name of the (then) college... over the years the "agricultural" part of the name was made into "Aggie"-- an adjective to describe anyone attending the school.
Aggies love traditions.... like: Midnight Yell, Gig 'Em, Howdy, Bonfire, Reveille, Silver Taps, Replant, the Corps, Aggie Ring, Muster, Big Event, Fish Camp, T-Camp
My favorite is Muster. Every April 21 “If there is an A&M man in one hundred miles of you, you are expected to get together, eat a little, and live over the days you spent at the A&M College of Texas.” On that day, the whole campus stops for a moment, and a candle is lit for every Aggie - current or former student - who died in the previous year. I'm honored that one day my Aggie community will do the same for me.
