I bought their album "Barton Hollow" on Friday, and have listened to the album about 5 times a day since then. No exaggeration. This article in the New York Times yesterday about them got me even more excited about them! So, go check The Civil Wars out. They're awesome.
Black Beans
Since I'm eating vegetarian this month, black beans are my friend. I've had black bean tacos for lunch everyday this week (so far) and am loving them.
Spring Break
I work at a University, and even though our offices don't have the week off, the town is dead. All the students are gone. And it's awesome! I love no 5 pm traffic. An empty parking lot. And quiet. A lot of work has been done this week.

I love black beans! You should try making some black bean corn salsa - it's super yummy.
ReplyDeleteI'm obsessed with black bean tacos too! I converted my mom (who's not a huge bean fan) to them by mashing up the black beans with some chili powder (perhaps add a little water if it's too dry). I guess it's a texture thing for her. But I like them better mashed too for some reason.
ReplyDeleteI listened to "Poison & Wine" about 5 times today. Then I bought the CD from Amazon. I can't wait til it comes in the mail next week. New music! Yay!
My The Civil Wars CD came in the mail yesterday. I'm shocked at how many songs I just love! And I'm worried I'm already listening to it too much. What if in a week I'm sick of it from listening to it too much?! Ahhh! Thanks for the recommendation!
