5 o'clock happy hour: May 11, 2011

Happy Wednesday, everyone!! We're already halfway through the week, which make me happy for sure. I love my job, but it sure is nice on weekends to just relax. And tomorrow the weekend's starting early... I'm going out with some friends to see "Something Borrowed." Have you seen it yet? I read the book years and years ago (actually about 5 years ago to be more precise) and really enjoyed it and its sequel ("Something Blue"). I hope the movie does it justice.

But enough about me, my thoughts, and plans... here are today's top stories, bookmarked for all eternity...

• Google "Chromebooks" (Google's Chrome OS notebooks) will be available June 15 in the US, UK and a few other European countries.
• Libyan rebels are reporting that they've taken control of the airport in Misrata.
• (No surprise here) Donald Trump's approval polls are dropping... as are his chances at a Presidential run.
• The Fiesta Bowl - which has been under allegations of illegal campaign contributions - was fined $1 million and will be allowed to stay in the BCS
• Tonight "American Idol" goes Gaga - as the top 4 take on the songs of Jerry Leiber and Mike Stroller. MTV will tell you who those people are.

And as for the hat...

Princess Beatrice's infamous hat will be sold through eBay to raise money for charity.
