So the lineup for the Austin City Limits Music Festival came out today. It has some great bands (Ray LaMontange) and some "what were they thinking?!?!" bands (cough, cough... Kayne West). But overall it's still a great line up, and I'm sure those of you willing to shell out $185 (x 2) for 3-day wristbands are going to have a wonderful time.
I, unfortunately, am not one of those people willing to shell out $185. But, because I know you really want to know, here's who I would be super excited to see if I were to go (or if a really, really nice friend gave me their tickets)....
#1: Iron & Wine - I've seen Sam Beam a few times before, and it's always one of the best shows of the night.
#2: Ray LaMontange - I've never seen him live, but I'm sure it's incredible.
#3: Coldplay - We saw Coldplay a few years ago at ACL, and they were on fire. It was one of the best festival experiences ever.
#4: Bright Eyes - Because "Bowl of Oranges" would just be really fun to sing along to :)
#5: Cee Lo (because, come on... who doesn't want to see him dressed up as whatever??)
LOVE Coldplay live-- they're even better than their studio versions, which never happens. Agree wtih you on the $185 though-- sadly I'm too cheap to even imagine that.
