I wanted to let you guys into my life just a little bit, if you don't mind...
I'm going to have to cut back on my blogging during the summer. I started this blog as a way to keep myself entertained during my "dead months" at work. I had more flexible hours - could blog during lunch time, could write my 5 o'clock happy hour in time to be published at 5, etc. - and since I wasn't super busy at work my brain wasn't ever tired. But now, I'm in my "busy time" at work. There are few lunch breaks, and I don't get up from my desk until way after 5. During the summer months my job is exhausting. Both mentally & physically.
Just so you get an idea of what I'm talking about: Monday was Memorial Day, but I had to go into the office & work since my database messed up on Friday. Day Lost. Then yesterday, there was so much mail coming in that I worked through lunch, then didn't leave until 6 - and that's only because I started going cross-eyed. That's 10 hours for those of you who are counting. 10 hours of looking at a computer screen, typing in numbers, and looking at a computer screen. [Then I went home & blogged for 2 more hours - so that's 12 hours staring at a computer screen. I'm averaging 10-12 hours a day looking at a computer.] My eyes are starting to hurt and I have constant headaches. My house chores are going undone, because when I get home I have to rest.
Basically, I need a break from the computer. And unfortunately, Crazy Random Happenstances is the thing that's going to have to go for now.
I hope you guys understand. I'm not going anywhere, I'm just blogging less. I'll still be here at least once a day, but things like my daily "Happy Hour" posts are going to suffer the most. (If you really want to know what's going on in the world, just go to Google News. That's where I collect all my information anyway!)
I also hope that (maybe) writing less will mean I can read your blogs more. My Google Reader has been at 1000+ since Christmas, even though I read through it regularly. I miss reading about your lives!!
Ok, so I just wanted to give you all a heads up.
And as always, thanks for reading! Every page visit and comment means the world to me :)
