So last night C & I went went out with my office mates to the local Bingo hall, Brazos Bingo, for some fun (half-priced) gambling. {It's only $5 for a sheet of 12 cards on half price night!!}I'm not a very competitive person, I'm mostly there for the fun of it all... and we did have lots of fun! There was even free Bud Light for those of us that decided to waste our calories on that god-awful beer water (I admit, I can't turn down free beer).
But, sadly (as C ever so smugly predicted) we didn't win anything the whole night....until the quick black-out round after the main event. (It was an extra $1 to get a ticket). He refused to give me a $1... so dear, sweet Paige handed me one of her dollar bills & I bought a ticket just as it was time to start the round. It was 2 seconds per number --- B12, O75, etc. etc. --- and I won!!!! The prize was $250 (minus taxes), so I took home a sizable $225.75. All because of Paige's $1 :)

ReplyDeleteWoohoo! That is awesome! I won once at bingo. I was so surprised I jumped up and almost knocked over the whole table. I won $75. Congrats on your win!
