| Head on over to Lauren's blog the little things we do to play along! |
1. One of my happiest moments ever was the day C proposed. I'd say the wedding -- which comes in a very close second - but there was just so much going on during my wedding day. The proposal was a complete surprise & took my breath away.
2. Summer is wedding season and weddings are a great opportunity to have fun, but easily made cheeesy or lame.
3. This summer has been way too hot! Seriously over 100 every day & with random rain storms here and there that just make the humidity unbearable. But on the flip side, this summer has been super fun & I love lazy summer nights.
4. My summer food of choice has been watermelon. I think that was one of my answers a few weeks ago. But I just love watermelon.
5. My summer uniform has been as little as I can wear while still being appropriate. Though my office is super chilly every day so I have to be prepared for that! But on weekends... tanks & capris. I'm not much of a shorts girl.
6. If I could spend the entire summer in one location I would choose the mountains, like Colorado, where it's still chilly at nights but super pretty during the day. I wish I was a beach girl, but frankly I hate sand & I prefer to swim in lakes/rivers any way. So Colorado or something like that would do nicely.
7. My summer anthem is high school music. I always remember driving around to Eve 6 or Dashboard during the summer... I guess nostalgia sinks in & takes over my music cravings.

I would swallow my pride, I would choke on the rinds, but the lack thereof would leave me empty inside. Swallow my doubt, turn it inside out, find nuthin but...

high school music is a good choice for summer. Thanks for visiting my blog :).
ReplyDeleteI'm totally with you about Colorado - I heart that state (especially in the summer!) Happy to have found your blog :)
ReplyDeleteIt's so great that I'm not the only one that thinks the proposal was better than the wedding, haha. I've also been a huge fan of watermelon this summer. It's just been the perfect thing to cool me down.
ReplyDeleteStopping by from Lauren's blog :)
Oh my goodness, your music choices totally take me back. I remember driving around, still in HS, listening to the very same artists. In fact Eve6 and Dashboard were two of my very favorites :)
ReplyDeleteI'm the complete opposite though w/ the beach thing. I LOVE the beach and lakes and rivers kind of freak me out. I KNOW I need to warm up to them since hello, I live in Oklahoma, but it's going to take awhile.
thanks for the comment! :)
ReplyDeletei, as well, have fond memories of dashboard summers. 'hands down' was my absolute favorite to blast with the windows down.
'and you kissed me like you meant it. and i knew that you meant it, that you meant it...'
Oooh, I love watermelon, too! I was in a watermelon eating contest last summer. I lost, but came close! Oh, and definitely don't wear black to Katy Perry! Wear pink or something neon! It was SUCH a fun concert.
ReplyDeleteThere seems to be a lot of people who pick the proposal over the wedding! I love that ~ the proposal is just about the two of you, and the wedding is more about family and friends.
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by my blog! I love Lauren's link up; it gives me a chance to find new blogs to love!
Colorado is just wonderful isn't it? That's why I'm trying to make the most out of Chicago, we plan to move to Colorado this winter/spring! Thanks for stopping by my blog...I will stop by again! :)
