Is it the weekend yet?

Friday, September 9, 2011

On my new Slow Carb Diet, I get 1 day off a week to eat a-n-y-t-h-i-n-g I want to. And I've been saving up ideas all week long!

I'm really on a peanut butter kick, so this Peanut Butter Fudge Brownie Triffle & Peanut Butter Ball are on the top of my list. Peanut butter and chocolate. Mmmmm.... then again, maybe I should just grab a Reeses?

Then there's the "snacks" that I miss. Chips & Salsa for sure, but also my second favorite snack: Artichoke dip.  Yes, I can have artichockes, but not all the other stuff that goes into dip! Doesn't this one with flatbread sticks just look incredible?

Then there's rice. I really miss rice. Especially since C was just getting good at making me risottos! I had just found this recipe last week, and then had to shelf it for the indefinite future!

Finally, there's breakfast. I've discovered breakfast is the hardest for me, because I'm not too fond of eggs. I really miss my breakfast startches!! I'm thinking these little guys will go perfectly on Thanksgiving Day morning, don't you think?

So there you have it! I wish I had the patience to make every single one of these things on Saturday. But it's only 1 day, so I have to start thinking realistically. If you had to choose one to make, what would you do? The choice is so hard!!!
