I've been trying to figure out how to get out of my usual road trip outfit slump. Usually I wear something like this:
But I really want to look like this:
Ok, maybe more like this...
I think you get the idea.
So answer me this: how do you stay comfortable yet still chic while road-tripping it all day? I'd love some tips ♥

I have yet to be able to manage that! HA HA! I feel like jeggings are a good way to go. I can't believe I am saying that since I never liked them. However I accidentally tried some on and L.O.V.E them! They look pretty put together and feel like leggings. Win WIn!
ReplyDeleteI haven't roadtripped and looked cute ever! I'm a sweatpants kind of gal. But, I would totally wear some dark jeans... jeans are comfortable and not as restricting as a skirt or tights etc. A scarf is a must because it looks cute regardless of what your shirt looks like! Add some flat boots (or heels) and there ya go! I would totally wear that on a roadtrip! :)
ReplyDeletei wish i looked that cute when i travelled too
ReplyDeleteUh...I always wear the first one. Maybe a little bit more casual. With like a Chilifest shirt or something...I don't even have classy clothes in my closet. I guess you can mix and match some solid tanks with three quarter sleeved shirts for some color and add a pretty and light scarf with some skinny jeans and boots? I'd have to find an example, I'm awful at describing things. I still prefer option A. Hahahaha.
ReplyDeleteI always wear jeans but I try to take middle of the road shirts. Not T-shirts but cute blouses that are comfy. I just went to Nashville and totally bough a bunch of those types of shirts. I like my pics better when I feel cute...although I was sick thsi trip and hate my pics bc I look like death hehe :)
ReplyDeleteI agree I almost always wear jeans then you can go with a casual top or dress them up with a blouse and jacket.
ReplyDeleteLast trip I wore an oversized sweater with black tights a scarf and my toms, I got looks, which makes me think that I looked cute, but then again, they could have been bad looks... haha, you say toMAYto i say taMAHto ;)
ReplyDeleteJeans or leggins are my go to travel wear! I used to go ultra comfy, but have started dressing to arrive ready to go! You never know what adventure might be waiting for you. :) Have fun on your trip!
ReplyDeletehey! so when i travel, i try to stick to things i can pack in a bag that will still look alright when i take them out. no high maintenance fabrics. i also try to keep all my clothes in the same color palette so that things can be mixed and matched. by keeping to the basics i don't go crazy by packing a ton of clothes. then i pack accessories for different outfits. i like to accessorize with scarves, belts and jewelry. and then keep the clothes and shoes simple. i'm big on flats, leggings, cardigans and scarves when traveling. and lots of thin clothes that can be layered for different weather types unless you know it's going to be cold.
ReplyDeletethose are just some ideas! hope i could be of some help! :)
I wear anything loose but flattering. There is nothing more frustrating than being uncomfortable in too-tight jeans while I'm sitting for hours on end. I also wear shoes that are easy to take on and off - so no boots, no tennis shoes; yes to flats and flip flops. Big scarfs are a comfy and warm way to dress up any outfit too. :)
ReplyDeleteI travel a lot, but I never wear sweatpants or so. Not even on 14-hour flights. Just don't see it as "good". ;) I wear comfy jeans, and a comfy T-shirt, and a sweater (planes are usually super cold!)...I sometimes bring an extra shirt too, just in case I spill or something. You never know. A scarf, just so it makes it all look more classy. And shoes...you gotta take them off and on again so no heels, no boots, but comfy ones you can easily slip in and out from. Flats are good. FlipFlops too, but I then always change into tennis shoes because again, it's cold on that plane.
ReplyDeleteThen again it always depends on where you're headed too. :) You don't want to land somewhere with flipflops and it's 30 degrees. Good luck!
