Let's talk about travel, Pt 5: Holidays

Traveling over holidays is typical. But it still catches me off guard every time I do so.

I've spent Christmas on a plane, flying back from Chicago & rushing to the in-laws house to spend Christmas Day Evening with them. I've spent New Year's Day flying back from Florida, because my dad deemed it cheaper to fly than the day after New Year's Day. I've done many an Easter Egg hunt in hotels growing up. And my fondest memories of the 4th of July were with my grandparents in the suburbs of Chicago, catching fireflies & hanging out with dem Yankees.

This time, though, it's different. Because we're traveling during a non-Holiday-holiday, Halloween. Which basically is anything you make it. I'm really excited about it, because we're in New Orleans.

Bourbon Street.

And we're totally planning on going out in full costume. I seriously can't wait! It'll be such a great way to experience the city, which is really what traveling is all about, right? I'm just afraid I've left a piece of my costume at home, or something of the like.

What are you doing (or what did you do) to celebrate Halloween? I can't wait to see everybody's costumes!

This is my costume... I found a replica of the mask!
