At the beginning of last summer I discovered a new love of fashion blogs. Quickly, I began pouring over blogs like Keiko Lynn, Late Afternoon, The Daybook, Kendi Everyday and Tick Tock Vintage. The more I learned from these women, the more inspired I became to pursue fashion actively, instead of just sitting back and saying "I love that outfit!"
So I began using Pinterest to document my style. Clothes I wanted to buy, and outfits I wanted to put together, just flew in. And I even did a few fashion posts last year, just to give it a go.
I know I'll never be a "fashion blogger" - it's not really even a goal of mine - but I want to be a fashion-oriented individual. So I set up a few fashion-focused goals to help corral my interests into something productive.
Here they are:
Here they are:
- Photograph and share 1 outfit a month
- Create 1 new outfit a week out of my own closet
- Continue to Pin outfits and clothing I'm interested in to Pinterest to document my findings
- Learn to appreciate and dress my body type
- Allow myself 1 shopping trip - be it thrift store trip or mall trip - a month to discover new fashions and put my skills to the test
So I'd love to know...
What's your go-to fashion blog?
I'm always looking for recommendations!!

Love it! I actually don't really follow any fashion-specific blogs, but I do love a good Pinterest find!

Love your goals for fashion! My fashion style is simple, classic, but sometimes out of the box. I have a very STRAIGHT figure, so sometimes I have to try to add curves or very fitted clothes to accentuate the body I have. It's taken a long time to really embrace my body for what it is, but I'm happy with it now :)
ReplyDeleteI feel pressured to turn my blog into a style one, but that's not me. I would be bored to tears blogging my outfits daily. Once a week works for me. Plus, I dress very casually for work, so I don't dress up daily.
ReplyDeleteKendi Everyday is definitely one of mine but I also like This Time Tomorrow.
