10 Things, Volume 19

glimpses of my week....

1) I've been out of my house before 7 two days in a row now. Not my favorite thing in the world....

2) But one of those times was to see a building explode.

3) And the other resulted in me getting to eat a Carne Guisada breakfast taco. So not a bad trade off.

4) I've marked TWO really old movies off my To-Do List this week. I saw Wings, the 1928 Best Picture silent film, and You Can't Take it With You, the 1938 film based off of a play. I just love old movies ♥

5) So You Think You Can Dance premiered last night! And I was just reminded one more time how much I despise the auditions. There's really no classy way to keep it entertaining, and while SYTYCD isn't as bad as American Idol, it's still not my favorite part. Luckily it doesn't last long.

6) With that said.... the dancer mom Bree from McKinney, TX, and her two-year-old ballerina daughter totally made me smile/cry. That made the entire episode worth sitting through. {video}

7) We're heading out tomorrow afternoon to go celebrate C's graduation with friends & then spend time with family for Memorial Day.

8) Which means I finally get to see my niece Pepper again!!!! I haven't seen her since her birth. So I'm beyond excited.

9) And I'm totally making this drink recipe from Joanna's blog to sip all day on Sunday. I've never been a Gin girl, so I think this is the perfect opportunity for me to branch out!

10) But before all of those festivities start, I'm starting up Memorial Day weekend the right way and going shopping!! I'm meeting an old friend at the Cypress Outlet Malls tomorrow... and am so ready to find some amazing stuff :)

Hope you had a great week!!
{Have a wonderful weekend}

In case you missed it: just me time || taking the next step with food || be proud & brag

  1. I LOVE the Cypress Outlet Malls. Actually, scratch that. I love outlet malls in general.

    If you come visit me in DC, our outlet mall has a Kate Spade. 50% off purses. I almost got a weekender bag for $150, but I can't afford that.

    I'm just sayin'.
