I have to say, this was one of my favorite weekends in a while. It was raining on and off the whole weekend, we watched a lot of movies, and we had some great talks about our life, our upcoming move and us.

We went and saw both Moonrise Kingdom and To Rome With Love.

Wes Anderson's film was probably one of the best movies I've seen all year. It was charming, sentimental, and just a good film. If Wes should get award attention, it needs to be for this film. Definitely a "watch again and again and again" movie for me. Plus, Halloween costume, anyone?

Woody Allen's film was funny, quirky, and just fell flat. It was a "eh" feeling as we left the theater. It didn't help we were about 30 years younger than everyone else in the theater. And dear Woody, please stop trying to play 30-year old's dads. Sincerely, me.

Morning coffee outings, waffles for brunch and shopping for paint samples filled in the time between the rain. And I got an early anniversary gift: Adele's 21 on vinyl. Which we listened to cuddled together while it was raining outside. C even lit candles for me. Can you say perfect romance? I need to keep that guy around!

It was a simple weekend with a lot of downtime. But totally perfect.
