Fall TV: Decide What Makes the Cut...

This week was wonderful. I was super busy, got a lot of things done and fall TV is here!

My love of TV is comparable to that of Abed's from Community, except I'm not weird & I form most of my opinions based off of Tim Goodman's from "The Hollywood Reporter." (Our opinions line up way too much!)

We watch mostly single-camera, 30-minuted comedies with endearing characters. That's our main genre. (No crime dramas in this house!)

We also have 17 shows currently on our "to watch" list.

Which, even for a childless couple in their mid-twenties paying a little something extra for a DVR, is a few too many. But I'm not one to drop a TV show if I've stuck it out for a few years (see: The Office). I'm also not one to shy away from a show with a lot of good buzz surrounding it (see: The Mindy Project).

But cuts have to be made. There's no two ways about it. So I'm sharing my list & want your opinion. Because if I can't cut something out, this blog has to go* ♥

*this is not a factual statement

To Keep Watching:
  • Up All Night
  • The Office
  • Parks and Recreation
  • Modern Family
  • 30 Rock
  • It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia
  • The League
  • Top Chef
  • Saturday Night Live

On the Fence:
  • Community
  • The Mindy Project
  • Raising Hope
  • New Girl
  • Glee
  • Ben and Kate
I'm Done With It:
  • The New Normal
  • Parenthood

Which of these would you drop? Let me know!

And have a great weekend. I'll be sitting on the couch catching up with everything I missed over the week.

  1. You need to major add Homeland, especially after that Emmy performance!

  6. I'm a HUGE fan of American Horror Story. I'm hoping this year is as good as last year. I wasn't very thrilled with the New Normal. All hype and not much substance.

  7. My only suggestion: Keep Community in the line-up!

It has a special place in my heart. Plus, I just think it is great humor ;)

    Happy Weekend!

  9. I love New Girl. But I no longer have cable, so I catch everything on the internet after it airs. Can't wait for it to start.

  10. I watch a lot of the same shows as you. I'm also over Parenthood, but I like The New Normal and think the grandmother is a hoot. Another new show that we're watching is Revolution, which reminds me of Lost (my hubby's favorite show ever). I DVR a lot of shows and it's hard to find time to go back and watch them all!

  11. I am loving The New Normal. I have seen so many others say they love Parenthood, that I have thought about watching it on Netflix, why isn't it one of your favorites?
