On Marriage & Charity

A few months ago, I took to bragging about how proud of my husband I was at graduating college despite the many obstacles in his way. Since he's graduated college, I've had the privilege of seeing the stressed college kid turn into the dedicated, working man.

The change was spectacular to see. He began working out & is more fit now than I've ever seen him. He cooks and cleans and helps keep our house in order. He's jumped back into reading -- one of his favorite activities that he had to give up while going to school.

He's dedicated more time to learning about me & how to make our relationship better. And he's dedicated more time to learning about himself & how to become a better husband and person.

This week, he's a charity event planner.

His company, Blue Baker, hosts an annual fundraiser for the Children's Miracle Network. C has been pouring himself into planning meetings along with his usual 8 to 12 hour days. And I love seeing him work through all the obstacles and come home and tell me about all the wonderful things Blue Baker and the other participating businesses are doing.

Cookies for Kids is the official fundraising event. With cookie eating contests, fun activities for kids, and appearances by some of the local celebrities, it's sure to be a great time.

So how can you help?
First: if you're in the area of Bryan/College Station come on out! Sign up for the cookie eating contest (open to ALL ages!) and come out for the fun!
Second: you can donate funds for the cause at the official charity page.
Third: you can play the online cookie eating game, and share your results on Facebook & Twitter! It's a fun game & will raise awareness for a great cause.

Just by reading this, you've helped support C! So thank you for reading.... It truly means the world to me. And thank you for letting me brag a bit on my guy.... He definitely deserves it.
