I'm a big fan of projects. Probably too much of a fan. C's biggest complaint about me is that everything has to be THING, a PROJECT, a TASK. Which is true. I very rarely allow myself to just be. (Though in my defense, I do a lot of resting too!)
In 2011, I did a simple photo-a-day Project 365. I didn't have an iPhone, the pictures aren't great, but the memories now all live on a Tumblr account that I occasionally thumb through. It makes me smile.
In 2012, I participated in Fat Mum Slim's photo-a-day challenge, but eventually stopped. It wasn't inspiring to me after a while, and I knew the pictures wouldn't have as much meaning to me. And I can say 6 months after not participating in the challenge, I can barely remember any of the circumstances around the pictures I took. (Versus my 2011 project, where I can pretty much tell you what every picture is trying to say.)
In 2013, I decided to pick up where I left off in 2011. I wanted to pick a piece of every day to document. Instead of deciding to do the traditional photo-a-day, I decided to do a who/what/when/where-a-day.
So every day so far this year, I have picked the best moment of that day, and answered 4 questions:
who/So far I've accompanied each post with a picture or (thanks to the Vine app!) a video. But I'm not focusing too much on the image. I'm focusing on that single moment in the day that made it a day worth living.
what/
when/
where/
I use Tumblr for this, because it's easy to upload from my phone. And I can have as many Tumblr blogs as I want under one account, so there's no fear of losing the material or creating yet another account.
Here's a few of my favorite memories so far this year: {see them all at Amy in 2013}

Are you a fan of Project 365's
